There are many ways in which it can be promoted and one of the most effective ways is by promoting it with Networked Blogs.

This is a Facebook application so the only other thing needed is a Facebook account. Using them together consistently will help to increase visibility and from there, new customers and clients can be found. To market effectively only requires a few steps.

Get the application by going to its page. Place a tab on any personal profile or business page so that visitors will be able to click on it and read a post whenever it is updated. Before doing this however, claim ownership by either getting no less than 10 friends to help or by adding some html. Adding the html code is the quickest and easiest way.

Once claimed, start inviting family and friends on Facebook; they are more likely to join first. Remember to always send an invite to any new friends too. This will enable them to not only read all posts, both old and new, but rate them as well. A good idea would be to find a way to encourage them to invite their friends to join. This will help to continually increase readership.

To get the most people to agree to join, get to know them first. Talk to them, ask questions and take a genuine interest. After a short while, tell them about it and also tell them how to join as it may not be immediately obvious. Establish the know, like and trust factor and they will be more likely to read each time.

Take the Networked Blog widget and place this on the blog. Visitors will then be able to join via this method instead of having to find it via Facebook. This is also a great way to increase social proof because some people like to see that others are interested in something before they even consider joining. The good news is, the more people who join, the more who will be willing to copy them and do the same.

Ensure that every new post is being fed directly on to the business page’s wall automatically. This will save lots of time and each and every day, as well as using Facebook, engage with friends, mention the blog as much as possible on forums, Twitter and leave valuable comments on other people’s blogs too. Promote the blog in this way alongside Networked Blogs and more and more people will start to notice.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6182685

SEO Hosting – A Testimony of Success

SEO & Site Promotion

Hosting

SEO

Success

Testimony
<guid

I tried almost every trick in the book and have gotten results that could make amateurs look like pros. However, all this change the moment I shifted my attention to SEO hosting. In the beginning, I was like everyone else and had the same questions as most of you have today. Let me just skip past the questions for now and tell you; Yes! SEO hosting does work.

Earlier, I used to spend hundreds of dollars on SEO and landed up paying more on freelance projects. Creating backlinks was a real pain and I was frustrated with my domains sitting back on the 11th and 12th pages of Google. The same week when I wanted to close down, I was referred to SEO hosting by a friend and I decided to give it one last chance. I told myself, this is the last time I am going to give this a try and if it does not succeed, I’m going back to my 9 to 5 job at Burger King.

Two weeks down the line, I rejoiced like I have never rejoiced before. My site went from #116 to #9. You have no idea what that moment felt like. It was heaven. While I was shouting up for glory, I kicked open a Heineken and at the same time kicked myself for not have known about SEO hosting before.

Just to tell you what I did that took me to the first page of Google, let me explain. I did NOT spend hundreds of dollars, I did NOT freelance my work, I did NOT spend hours a day at my screen and I did NOT waste my energy building too many back links. Instead, I simply hosted all my domains with my SEO hosting package and bookmarked them till they got indexed. To pass my time, I used to write a few articles and back linked them to my sites. I bookmarked those articles and shared them with my friends on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. That is all I did.

Surprising huh? I was surprised too. But it was a fabulous feeling to see first page success after so long. I would sincerely recommend SEO hosting for anyone that wants to cut out expenses and get the results they could not get at all. SEO hosting works. Ask me, I experienced it.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6181946

Price, Product, Placement and Promotion in the Internet Age

Online Marketing

Age

Internet

Placement

Price

Product

Promotion
<guid

Think if it as a repeating process, narrowing in on an answer.

What is being offered?

Creative design work is required, keeping in mind the customer desires.

What are the benefits to the customer?

The customer knows what she wants, and why. You want to provide it. This requires market research in an organized manner to gather information about the customer and competition. How people behave, their beliefs, wants and needs. This can be segmented based on geographic, demographic, gender and other differences. The more focused the market, the better you can tailor your offering to meet the motivating factors for a sale.

What is the cost?

The competition establishes the existing price structure. Your product differentiation (market segmentation) determines how different the customers’ cost can be.

How is the product delivered?

The distribution of the product may be widespread, where your competitors all have stock of the product and there is significant price competition.

If there is only selective distribution, with limited sources available to the customer, you have less price competition but it is more important the customer is attracted to your offering.

If you are the exclusive distributor you have a leg up in convincing the customer to buy from you, but probably have a smaller market.

The tools of internet marketing are constantly changing.

Enticing customers is called engagement. Discussion forums or blogs are ways of creating, stimulating and influencing customer behavior, and they are often in already-segmented markets. They are a good place to keep up with changing desires and needs of customers and to develop a deep understanding of your customer. They can contribute to optimizing the timing of an introduction.

Search Engines are important. Finding a way to show up at the top of search results is every internet marketer’s concern. Key words, AdWords, article submission giving relevant content are all useful.

Contextual advertising is one of the more recent innovations. When a customer searches the web for information on a subject of interest, the web page can be coded to provide advertisements of relevant products (Google AdSense, and others are making coding and advertiser links). This well-targeted advertising results in a higher response rate.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6180203

What To Look For In A Guest Blogger And How To Get Them

Blogging

Blogger

For

Get

Guest

How

Look

Them

What
<guid

One of the best ways to keep people updated is with a blog. However sometimes it is good to add new angles to keep people engaged. This is why you should use a guest blogger and this article will give you an idea of what to look for in a guest blogger for your site.

The first thing to consider is someone relevant to your business. This could be someone you employ. This will give readers an insight into your business from another perspective and show what you do every day. If you are involved in a local community event it is a good way to promote the event and help them to boost their attendance.

Another effective type of guest writer is someone connected with your business but not necessarily a part of your business. For example if you run a restaurant you may want to have a piece by someone who supplies you with ingredients and where they source them from. This type of blog offers people an idea of how your business works and the people who are part of it.

With anyone writing for you it is important to make sure that they complement your site. Ideally they should be appropriate to your website. Therefore they should write clearly and use correct spelling and grammar. They should avoid writing anything derogatory about commercial rivals. While being passionate about a subject is good, avoid anyone who writes something excessively controversial.

A guest should be able to write about a topic while incorporating discussing your business. It should not be purely promotional and should engage with people as well. If it is purely promotional then people are less likely to want to read.

A good way of finding them is to ask for them. Social networking sites are a great way of developing contacts and will help you get to know people. This will then give you an idea of what writers would be appropriate for you.

What to look for in a guest blogger for your site is someone who shares your values but also offers a different perspective. They should not be too similar to your writing style and give people something else to read. Look online to find contact details of people in your industry and in the local area.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6182764

6 Steps to Successful Affiliate Marketing

Affiliates

6

Affiliate

marketing

Steps

Successful
<guid

Your reason, and the strength of your conviction for it, is going to determine your motivation for success in a hard, competitive affiliate marketing world.

• Your niche? There are many niches to choose from, of which, I think, “making money online” and “fat loss” are probably the biggest. You need to research and choose the niche before you start. Moving between niches is going to waste a lot of energy and time. You do not have to be an expert in your niche, but knowing something about it will help.

• Your education. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need a college education or be a technical whizzkid on a computer to be successful in affiliate marketing. You do need intermediate computer, email, internet, networking and sales skills though. Intermediate ability to write and read in English is another requirement.

When you have the above sorted, you can take the following, simplified steps to starting your Affiliate marketing business:

1. Choose your niche and stick with it:

This is a very important first step and most affiliate marketers make the mistake of moving around between niches because they have not made this all important decision. If you are not sure of which niches are available, go to any of the online retailers sites, such as ClickBank or Commission Junction, and look through their marketplace sections, where you will see the types of niches where there are affiliate products available for.

2. Open an online retailers account, e,g, ClickBank, Commission Junction, and also a PayPal account.

You will be paid through mainly ClickBank, or PayPal, and can also use PayPal to buy online digital products which you need to review to market to customers.

3. Choose products to market.

To see a list of products for your niche, do some basic research of the online digital retailers’ marketplace pages for vendors who offer products. Choose no more than 3 products to start off with. You can also search for specific vendors online and visit their affiliate links on their websites. It will tell you the commission they pay, how it is paid and how their affiliate system works.

4. Set up a web presence:

You need to get a “store” where you are going to market your products. It can be either a blog or official website, but you can also market products by writing articles and reviews, posting on forums and commenting on products on official review pages. Research these topics and find the best fit for your skills. You might not have website building skills yet, so a blog or writing articles may suit. There are many, many ways to market products online.

5. Get traffic to your site:

For advanced website builders, there are software available which will list your website or blog with search engines, or you could use advanced SEO techniques to get traffic to your site. Otherwise posting on forums and writing articles will get traffic to your site/blog.

6. Get a mentor or network for continuous learning:

If you want to be a successful affiliate marketer, you are never going to stop learning. In fact the pace and depth of your learning is going to be a great factor in your success. Keep on learning from others who have done it already and keep searching for better and more advanced ways of affiliate marketing. Increasing your skills and techniques will also increase your profit.

Everyone who has started out at affiliate marketing as a first step in an online business knows that the initial stages are hard and unforgiving. It is not easy to stay motivated when your account is still cashless after a few months of hard work. Don’t be discouraged though – doctors go to college for seven years before they can start earning good money. Rest assured, you can earn more and need to do less learning being a successful affiliate marketer, but you would have to start with these 6 steps though!

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6177917

Facebook For Increased Site Traffic

Social Media

Facebook

Increased

Site

Traffic
<guid

High traffic is what we all would like for our website.

One development these days is to connect to social networking sites to produce site traffic. An accepted site to employ for such is Facebook.

Not only can you promote merchandise or services through Facebook. You can make use of Facebook to coerce site traffic by creating a Facebook page, creating a Facebook group, in addition to advertising on Facebook or by creating a profile page.

How it Would Work:

The most important function of the Facebook Club is to lend a hand to its members get a hold of more coverage as well as traffic from Facebook. Essentially, any member is able to appeal weekly as well as the other members of the club “share” or “like” the requested piece by way of their accounts.

This is helpful in exposing in as much users as feasible. Suppose that we wind up with 60 members, each one with roughly 500 friends. If each and every one of them shares your content on their accounts, you would be exposed to more than a thousand people.

The club would be employed as a mailing list, wherever members of the club will equally post in addition to obtaining requests by means of email. The club is exclusive, so no one can access the messages.

Guidelines:

Every affiliate can simply launch one appeal weekly. This is to make definite the amount of mails will be restrained and that merely quality material will be submitted.

In addition, members can suggest requests for quality content solitary. No spam of profit-making stuff is permitted.

Additionally, appeal ought to include the title of article or page, and its genuine URL. The requested article or page also needs to comprise a Facebook “Share” or “Like” widget on it.

Moreover, members are supposed to vote on no less than 80% of the requests. The 20% boundary is to set aside for content that is absolutely not related to your forte or wellbeing.

Last but not least, no off-topic chitchat is permissible. Members can make use of the mailing list no more than for voting requests; to make clear in your mind the volume of emails will be sensible.

Join the Club:

The club is entirely free, and you can also leave for your convenience anytime. The single prerequisite for joining is that for you to have at least 300 friends on your account.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6168507

When Your Website Performs Poorly: An SEO Checklist And More

SEO & Site Promotion

Checklist

More

Performs

Poorly

SEO

Website

When

Your
<guid

Do you find yourself uncertain as to why it’s doing it wrong and things like that? If so, it is time to do a quick self-check on your site. You can use the troubleshooting checklist we’ve made below.

Loads and loads of small enterprise owners have spent money trying to have a professional web designer make a site for them, and see it fail at its intended purpose. As professional as your website can get, many things are still bound to go wrong, and that in itself is worth checking into.

If you are not getting the expected number of site visitors, never fear- there are always means of circumventing it:

Check out your visibility. You might complain that your site is invisible, and hardly anyone drops by it. If so, it is time to check out the following solutions:

Keyword usage. Examine your site. Is it optimized for SEO? Check if the tags in your site contain the search terms your customer base is looking for when they search for products online. If not, then it’s time to put them back on.

Survey the field. If you find yourself stuck in a rut of competitors, think of the possibility that your site can be found in the forgotten pages of the search results, so hardly anyone goes by it. If that is the scenario, you should try using more specific phrases and lesser used keywords for your site’s content.

Examine the accessibility. Check if your site has been indexed properly by the search engine in question. In addition, you have to make sure that most of your site’s content is in text format, not embedded graphics or animation images.

Consider the bounce rate, or the rate to which visitors take flight from your site. Here are some suggestions to alleviate that concern:

Mind your coding. Examine your site, and see if it is compatible with most operating systems and browser bases. If not, then it’s time to do a major overhaul. Moreover, you should check if your site suits all screen resolutions. If your customers can’t find what they are looking for, then they leave. Simple as that.

Mind the content. Are your site’s contents understandable? Are they not boring, too long or too trivial? Most visitors only take seconds to decide if they remain on the page or not.

Conversions are nonexistent. It seems counter intuitive that anyone would fear moving forward in life and achieving their goals and life-long dreams. What rational, thinking person would be afraid to succeed? The fear of success is not obvious for that very reason. Since many people cannot imagine that they would fear their own greatness, they often don’t recognize the signs of the fear of success and continue to sabotage themselves. People often go through life not knowing why they are not getting what they want out of life. This subtle fear is one of the many roadblocks that can hinder the success of an online entrepreneur. This article is a look at why we fear our success and some solutions to overcome this fear.

Problem 1: We fear that we will achieve the goal we want only to be unsatisfied or empty after the goal is achieved. After a goal is accomplished, there can be a feeling of aimlessness. You think, “Now what?” The completion of a goal can sometimes feel like being slammed into a brick wall.

Solution: Focus on progression instead of perfection. Set up mini tasks and goals. Another strategy is to focus on the person you are becoming in pursuit of that goal. In other words, focus on self-development while working towards your goals.

Problem 2: We fear that our success will earn negative criticism from our loved ones. The desire to fit in or to belong is one of the hallmarks of human nature. We are generally social creatures. Acceptance from family and friends is important and plays a crucial part in human behavior. Wanting to bond with another human being is quite natural. In the effort to keep those bonds, people sometimes find themselves in situations they loathe but tolerate. For example, some people choose career paths not because they care about that particular field but because they just want to make loved ones happy. Understand that people can sometimes take your success as an insult to themselves. The real issue is that you are doing something that magnifies their own mediocrity or unwillingness to live life courageously. This jealousy lends itself to subsequent criticism.

Solution: When dealing with loved ones, there is just no easy solution. People who are emotionally invested in others, especially parents, may find themselves in conflict with you. One way to deal with them is to share neutral information about your life leaving out the parts about online marketing and being successful at it. Probably the best coping mechanism in your arsenal is knowledge. Knowing that jealousy and envy can come from one’s own insecurities and self-esteem issues can put things into perspective. Ironically, you fear being isolated from loved ones when they, in fact, fear that your success will take you away from them. The fear, resentment, or jealousy that other people have can manifest itself in the form of criticism.

Understanding the fear of success and ways to overcome it is necessary to develop a winning mindset to starting an online business and for long-term success.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6168497

The List Of Important Design Elements For Postcards

Online Advertising

Design

Elements

Important

List

Postcards

The
<guid

You will also want to always deliver a complete design that is fit for postcard printing.

If there is one common thing that happens to amateurs, it is that most of their raw designs lack a few essential elements for a good color postcard for distribution. If you are a newbie to this, you might want to learn about all the essential design elements. Here is a list that should help you remember what you need to put into your designs.

1.	A cover image – Of course, you need to have a cover image. However, you should not choose just any kind of image here. The proper kind of cover image is in full color and set in high resolution. Many beginners make the mistake in just inserting an image as is as they get it, without thinking of the actual image and dimension settings. So make sure that you analyze your prospective cover image first. Make sure that it is in full color and that it has a resolution of 300dpi or higher. These are the best kinds of settings for a cover image.

2.	A template – You will also require a postcard template. This will essentially guide you on the right locations, dimensions and settings needed for a proper document draft for postcard printing. You can find these free over the Internet through many design blogs and printing companies.

3.	Title and contents – Of course, your custom postcards will need a title and content. The title of course is meant for the cover, and it should be short and concise, but quite memorable. The main contents are typically reserved for the back, but some can be added to the front. This also needs to be as short as possible. Make sure that you compose these written materials well, and have someone recheck it for you for it to be fit to print.

4.	Creative font styles – For the cover, you will need some creative font styles. While there can be a few already set into your design software, it typically is not enough. Try to download a few new and interesting creative font styles online through font databases like dafont.com or urbanfont.com.

5.	Headline font styles – You will also will want an option to get headline font styles or even body text font styles. These are called sans serif and serif fonts respectively. Make sure that you have this option ready for your main text content. Again, some of the best and newest fonts should be available for you free over the internet.

6.	Posting elements – Do not forget to get a template or an example of posting elements. These are set design elements for the postal stamp as well as the, to and from fields. These are essential.

7.	Border elements – Finally, you will also need some border elements. These balances out your layout so that it is fully centered in the draft and properly distanced from the edges. The border can be visible if you want as a design feature, or it can just be an invisible guideline. You can create this yourself, or get a template that already has this set.

These are the important design elements that each color postcard needs. You will want to have these ready as you start designing.

Understanding Blogging – Introduction

Blogging

blogging

Introduction

Understanding
<guid

A blog is a term that has been derived from the term web-log and the history goes on. It therefore follows that to understand blogging; it is paramount to understand the term blog first. A blog is a website or a part of a website that takes the form of an online journal, something like an online newspaper or magazine. It has, among others, the following distinct features.

· It is updated regularly
· It is more personalized, dealing more with hobbies other than business
· It calls for a following of fans and allows their participation
· It is structured in a reverse chronological order

Blogs were not very common until recently. But today, due to the infectious proliferation of the internet, more and more people have continued to set up blogs, most for personal agenda but some for community drives most of which are for charitable causes. Another reason for the growing interest in blogs is the ease with which a blog is set up. There are websites like Google and WordPress that offer free WISWIG blog accounts, making it very easy to set up blogs, even for those who do not have a lot of computer knowledge. All that is needed is to have content to ‘feed’ the blog. The rest will be done for you. One can also have their blog designed from scratch, depending on what they are looking for. These are usually paid up for; both at the initial set up and also periodically to keep the account active.

There are various unique components to a blog that we will use as we try to unravel and understand blogs and blogging.

· Feeds and posts – The actual information shared in the blog which forms the backbone of the blog.

· Archives – A time schedule for the blog, categorized in the form of year or month. All the post of a February 2011 will appear under the year 2011 and the month February, more like a time filing format.

· Follow/Comments/Like/Share/Email – These are usually buttons provided in the blog so as to allow for follow-up on the post or blog in case of the ‘follow’ button.

· AdSense/Monetize – This is available in some blogs and it allows the user to host advertisements on their blog. Such advertisements will earn the blog owner some money, depending on the number of visitors.

· Pages/Links – These are further spaces which have buttons on the blog and when clicked upon, they take you to another pane, either within or without the blog.

All these make blogs the unique ‘websites’ that they are. They are almost present in every other blog, with the only variant being their arrangement in the page. We will look at each of these in detail in the next articles.

Furthermore, there are common characteristics that set blogs apart from other websites. Some of these include:

· Blogs are mostly based on a specific subject matter, taking opinions about the same from different quarters. This means that content is usually fed from many persons rather than from the blog administrator. Feedback is an important part of blogs.

· Blogs are based on current events on a particular subject line as opposed to static information as is common with other websites.

· Blogs are more like personal diaries as opposed to corporate tools of trade.

· Blogs are informal forms of communication.

· It is common to have short-term blogs, tackling a certain passing issue, for example a fundraising drive for disaster stricken areas.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6161664
